To protect the environment during the production process and serving customers, all the employees and the administration of Borusan Mannesmann adopt the environmental management system as stated below, accepting and undertaking its requirements:
- In accordance with all the current rules and regulations related to Environment Protection,
- Performing studies on reducing all the environmental effects, formed during the operations, to a tolerable level,
- Working on reducing the waste to a minimal level, terminating unpreventable waste in the most secure way for the environment,
- Conducting studies on reducing the consumption of natural resources to a minimum level,
- Constantly overseeing the system and the operations, accessible for supervision of all concerned parties.
- Based on the continuous improvement principle.
We set new goals every year for a cleaner environment and a sustainable future. Our prior aim is to minimize waste, however; we classify waste, recycle it, and dispose the unrecyclable waste in accordance with the regulations, without detriment to the environment.
We try to develop new methods to minimize consumption of natural resources and production of waste. We aim to prevent pollution and provide continuity of the systems formed under environmental protection by applying eco-friendly Lean 6 Sigma projects.

As being the first company qualified in steel pipe sector to achieve ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate, Borusan Mannesmann applies all required controls in all production processes to protect the environment with the principle of respecting mankind and nature.
